Mary Pappas is our Administrator and Director of Operations. She has been with Kingís Daughters Home since 2000. Mrs. Pappas is a graduate of Champlain College and is a certified residential care home administrator in the State of Vermont. She brings with her twenty years of experience in the health care field working in nursing homes, critical care and home health throughout Northern Vermont. She is also a member of the Vermont Health Care Association.

Kingís Daughters Home warmly welcomes Ellen Read, RN, CHPN as our Director of Nursing. She comes to us with an extensive background in nursing. She is licensed in the State of Vermont. She is in good standing and has been certified in hospice and palliative nursing since 2001. She also serves as a member to the advisory committee for Vermont Technical College nursing program. Ellen has been a long time employee for Franklin Co. Home Health Agency and Mousetrap Pediatrics.

Ellen was a co-owner with her husband of their dairy farm in South Hero. She enjoys raising animals and the general farm life. She is an active member of the choir at the First Congregational Church in St.Albans and was a former Deacon. She has also has served on the NCSS board for eight years.

Ellen enjoys being a vendor at local farmerís markets, knitting, animal husbandry and antique furniture.

Penny Nye is our Food Service Director. She comes to us with a rich background in dietary and kitchen management. She has been working in the food industry all her adult life. She has finally found the perfect fit for her-making the ladies and staff happy with her cooking and baking skills. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her 3 adult children and 2 grandsons. She has lived in Highgate her entire life.

Julia has a long history of working in various aspecrts of health care. She comes to us with a well-rounded work experience. She enjoys using her creative talents to keep our ladies active, and creative.

Linda is a warm, caring and dedicated employee who provides resident transportation service for medical appointments, activities, errands, and minor trips around town. With Linda, you can have peace of mind knowing that your loved one is in safe hands when they need to travel.
